Helicopters, rocket launchers, Super Weapon Box coming to PUBG MOBILE with 0.15.0 update: What to expect

PUBG MOBILE's next update will be bringing the Payload mode which in turn will offer players helicopters, rocket launchers and other air combat gear to fight it out among other players.

PUBG MOBILE is getting a massive update next week and from the leaked change log, there are a lot of new goodies that should keep PUBG players interested in the game for long. The ledge grab is a major new addition to the game that could change the way we play PUBG matches. However, the biggest addition to PUBG MOBILE with this update is easily the Payload mode, which has been rumoured for long.

The Payload mode in PUBG MOBILE is going to bring a massive change in gameplay for players. In fact, it could be said that it's a drastic departure from the traditional PUBG gameplay in the same way as the zombie modes introduced earlier in the year. The Payload mode will bring air vehicles and anti-air combat gear to make the combat among players more interesting and challenging.

So what's new with PUBG MOBILE's Payload mode?

As the name suggests, the Payload mode brings into equation air vehicles and air combat gear for players to fight it out amongst each others. PUBG MOBILE players will be able to fly around in a helicopter and attack other players from the air. And with a squad, the helicopter could prove deadly on enemies on the ground.

However, the game is also giving on ground players powerful weapons in the form of heat-seeking rocket launchers and grenade launchers to attack the helicopter squad. Players will also get special anti-air combat gear such as binoculars and more to gain tactical advantage over the enemies in air.

Here are some of the weapons that on-ground players will be able to use for defence against helicopters:

--RPG-7 rocket launcher: classic rocket launcher, using rockets.

--M3E1-A missile: a missile that uses a rocket to launch a tracking vehicle.

--M79 grenade launcher: single grenade launcher using 40mm grenade.

--M134 heavy machine gun, using 7.62mm bullets.

--MGL Grenade Launcher: Use 40mm Grenade.

Will the gameplay be different in Payload mode?

Yes, as the leaked patch notes say. The Payload mode will bring some changes to the core gameplay nature of PUBG MOBILE. And for those playing squad, it's a very good one.

The map will offer a Super Weapon Box that houses some heavy fire weapon and gear to wipe out the enemies. Players will have to compete for the Super Weapon Box, which will be marked on the map with a beacon.

Additionally, teammates will also be able to recall eliminated mates with the help of the communication tower. This feature is similar to the recall feature from Call of Duty Mobile where players have to pick up the player ID and go to the communication tower to revive them. Additionally, PUBG MOBILE says the firepower can also be upgraded.

When is the PUBG MOBILE Payload mode coming?

The Payload mode is coming to PUBG MOBILE on October 16 with the version 0.15.0 update. The Payload mode will be available under the EvoGround section.
